Fingers crossed that our children behave today!

Dear little babies,

Please be good and cooperate today so that we can find out who all is in there. We love you very much and can't wait to begin preparing for your arrival.

Tomorrow is the BIG day...

Yup, tomorrow we are going to see our specialist for the first time and as long as both babies cooperate, we should be able to find out if they are boys or girls. It is such a wonderful experience to hear their heartbeats and see them moving all around to begin with and this time it is like we get an added bonus. I am so excited that i can't even stand it! It seems like we have been waiting FOREVER to find out what these little rugrats are. My family is convinced that there is at least one girl. Andy swears there is at least one boy but seems to lean towards 2 boys. My guess is one boy and one girl...

Welcome and Recap...

Welcome to our blog about our journey to parenthood. We can't wait to meet our little ones in December. Since i have been so lax about keeping a journal during my pregnancy, I decided to start this blog in order to preserve the memories and share them with our family and friends.

i'm currently 17 weeks along , so i guess i need to start with a recap of some of the highlights so far:

4/25/08- Andy goes for his friday night bike ride and returns to pink and blue balloons. His reaction?-- "Are you kidding me?". Andy immediately calls the Stamps Family. Word has it they may have nearly fallen out of their chairs when he told them there could be more than one baby. Their reaction went something like this: "What do you mean there could be more than one?"

5/4/08- We announce our fun news to the Kreiger Family. Boy are these babies going to be spoiled!

5/14/08- 6 week 2 day ultrasound. We walk into the RE's office and i immediately inform wendy that andy is convinced that there are two babies in there. Within seconds see two sacs and two flickering spots that we learned were our babies heartbeats. Wendy says we have "Double Trouble" on the way :)

5/26/08- 8 week 1 day ultrasound. We see both little heartbeats again and the beginning of little arm and leg buds. They are the cutest little arm and leg buds i've ever seen! Both babies are measuring within a day of each other.

6/11/08- 10 week 2 day ultrasound. Baby B is doing somersaults and Baby A is bouncing all around looking like he/she is dancing.

6/27/08- 12 week 4 day ultrasound. We only got to see the babies for a split second but from what we saw they were very active. Does this mean i have two little boys on my hands? We also got to hear their little heartbeats for the first time. Unfortunately the tech went so quickly that i didn't have time to truly be involved in the moment. One of the babies was moving around so quickly that she constantly had to move the wand to follow the heartbeat. I can't wait to hear their heartbeats again.

7/25/08- 16 weeks, 4 day appointment with OB. Unfortunately andy couldn't make it to this appointment because he was out of town. The OB used the doppler to listen to the babies heartbeats and he found both of them immediately. Baby A is low on my right side and Baby B is higher on my left side. I think i'm beginning to feel some little movements on both sides too which is very exciting. Our little lemons are now about 6 inches from crown to rump and are growing so quickly. Oh and i managed to gain 7 lbs since my last appointment which means i'm now at +10. i'm on my way to 20 lbs by 20 weeks...
